CRAZY BUSY DAY

Got up at 5:45 to type reports that I didn't finish last night. I kinda sorta overbooked yesterday. Worked at hospital and then forgot I now type on Mondays, too. I was just too darn tired to type last night, so had to get up early to do it. Colby's nurse was supposed to watch him at 9:30 so I could type. She got stuck in that traffic on I-64 today. She said the interstate was a parking lot so I just told her to turn around and go home. Grandma to the rescue! I called Mom and she was able to come over and hang out w/Colby while I typed.

So I've been making phone calls, sending e-mails, trying to get ready for next week. Trying to get Colby's supplies ordered. I've made 4 calls to Apria in the past month trying to get Colby's Mic-key button ordered. I've been ordering that thing once a month for 8 years. Not really sure what the damn problem is now all of a sudden, but I wasn't happy when I talked to the customer service rep this morning. She quickly transferred me to a supervisor, haha, who guaranteed me it was being shipped out tomorrow. We shall see. Monday I called Apria to find out the status of why we haven't gotten Colby's pulse/ox probes either. That was the 3rd phone call I made regarding that issue. They're really gonna be tired of hearing from me soon but hey, when it comes to something Colby needs, Mama won't take NO for an answer!

I do have GOOD, actually GREAT news, too. PRC called today. That's the company that makes Colby's communication device. Medicaid has approved his eye gaze technology! Yippeeeee. That's big time great news. The PRC chick said sometime in the next few days they'll ship out the eye gaze piece for Colby's ECO-14. Can't wait, can't wait.

Oh yeah, and Colby's bath aide came over and we got that kid cleaned up for a couple of days. She's worked out better than any other aide we've had before. Very dependable, works hard when she's here. So I'm thankful for that. These days I can use all the help I need!

That's what's new in Amy and Colby's world. More later.
